Liberation is not a moment. It is a movement, a lineage, a continuous thread of resistance and reclamation stretching across generations. It does not begin or end with us. Every choice we make, every system we dismantle, and every piece of knowledge we pass down is either a step toward liberation or a reinforcement of oppression.
If we do not intentionally build the future we wish to see, we will inherit and pass down systems designed to keep us disconnected, disempowered, and subservient to structures that were never meant to sustain us.
The question is not if we will leave a legacy—the question is what kind of legacy we will leave.
Liberation is not a one-time act—it is a legacy. It is generational work that extends seven generations back and seven generations forward. The systems we dismantle today, the knowledge we preserve, and the communities we cultivate will shape the futures of those who come after us. True liberation is about ensuring that future generations are equipped with the tools, wisdom, and resilience to continue this work.
Today’s discussion is about legacy—not as an abstract concept, but as something we actively build in our homes, workplaces, and communities. Keep reading for a free preview of today’s conversation, where I explore how our legacies are shaped by our actions, relationships, and commitment to dismantling oppressive systems.

"This is what happens when whiteness is promised to people as a ‘get out of capitalism’ card. But whiteness can’t be cashed in for green. And part of dismantling whiteness is reaching across that divide—to those left behind, to those convinced that their oppression is different. Because at the end of the day, racism stops liberation every single time."
"We are not isolated from each other. The idea that suffering will only impact certain groups is a lie that supremacy culture thrives on. The reality is, oppression rolls downhill. And the only way forward is through community—through recognizing that none of us are free until we all are."
We cannot build a legacy of liberation without understanding the systems designed to keep us disconnected. Supremacy culture thrives on division—disconnecting us from self, land, and community. But legacy-building requires us to disrupt that disconnection and plant seeds of liberation that will grow beyond our lifetimes.
