Where We Are

Season: Season of Blooming

Collective Question:
What am I listening for this season?

Astrological Container:
Building from Leah Tioxon’s Guide Book: The Astrology of 2026, May carries us into the rooting phase of the year. April initiated movement. May asks whether what began can actually be sustained.

This is where intention becomes embodiment.

Not through urgency.
Not through dramatic reinvention.

But through steady choices that bring us back into relationship with our values, our bodies, and our actual capacity.

May slows the pace on purpose.

Because growth that cannot root…
cannot hold.

Supremacy Culture Pillars Being Dismantled:
Quantity Over Quality • Perfectionism • “I’m the Only One”

Primary Somatic Principles:
Attunement (being seen without collapse) • Embodiment (bringing knowing into form) • Resource (establishing safety)

Secondary Somatic Principles:
Capacity • Consistency • Discernment • Relational Care

If April Was Initiation, May Is Rooting

April cracked open possibility.

May asks whether we can remain present long enough to care for what has begun.

Because beginning something is one thing.

Sustaining it with integrity is another.

Before We Go Deeper

You do not need to bloom all at once.

You do not need to prove your growth through exhaustion.

And you do not need to force certainty before your roots have settled.

Before reading further, pause.

Notice where your body is making contact with support.
Notice your breath without changing it.
Notice what feels steady today — even if it feels small.

May is not asking for performance.

May is asking for honesty.

Not “How much can I produce?”
Not “How quickly can I transform?”

But:

What is actually sustainable?

What is worth tending?

What can grow slowly enough to remain connected to your body while it grows?

This month may feel quieter than you expected after the movement of spring.

That is not failure.

That is rooting.

Roots grow underground first.

Before visibility.
Before recognition.
Before proof.

And supremacy culture struggles with this stage because it trains us to prioritize visible output over invisible stabilization.

But nature does not rush itself into bloom.

Neither should you.

The Emotional Climate of May

You may notice:

• a desire to simplify
• exhaustion around overcommitting
• clearer awareness of what drains you
• grief surfacing alongside joy
• tenderness around money, security, or support
• a craving for steadiness instead of intensity

None of this means you are moving backwards.

It means your nervous system may be asking for sustainability.

Pause here.

What feels nourishing right now
not impressive,
not productive,
but nourishing?

You do not need to answer immediately.

Just notice what surfaces.

Community: Blooming Together

Growth becomes more sustainable when it happens in relationship.

This month’s gatherings inside the Healing Homestead Collective continue to center embodied liberation, reflection, and community care.

Our monthly Astrology of Liberation gathering with Leah reminded us of something important this month:

There are two full moons in May.

A rare celestial event often referred to as a Blue Moon month.

And energetically, it feels significant.

May becomes a kind of emotional and spiritual bookend.

The month opens with Scorpio.
The month closes with Sagittarius.

One water.
One fire.

One pulling us inward toward emotional truth.
The other asking what becomes possible once that truth is finally acknowledged.

The Scorpio Full Moon at the beginning of the month illuminated what has been operating beneath the surface.

Not just emotionally
but relationally,
financially,
somatically.

Scorpio energy asks difficult but necessary questions:

  • Where am I attached to pain because it feels familiar?

  • Where have I confused survival patterns with identity?

  • What am I holding onto out of fear rather than alignment?

This is not shallow self-reflection.

Scorpio pulls hidden truths into visibility.

It asks for emotional honesty.

Not performance.
Not collapse.
Not shame.

Honesty.

The kind that allows transformation to begin because denial is no longer carrying the weight.

And then, after a month of tending those truths,
the Sagittarius Full Moon arrives on May 31.

A Blue Moon.

A second full moon acting almost like a celestial finale to the emotional excavation that began earlier in the month.

But Sagittarius does not ask us to stay buried in the heaviness.

It asks:

  • Now that you can see more clearly…
    what becomes possible?

  • What freedom becomes available when truth is no longer avoided?

  • What vision emerges once emotional honesty creates space for expansion?

Sagittarius reminds us that liberation is not simply about uncovering wounds.

It is also about reclaiming imagination.

Hope.
Direction.
Meaning.
Possibility.

But more importantly:

Not fantasy.

Not bypassing.

Not pretending pain never existed.

Expansion rooted in truth.

That distinction matters.

Because supremacy culture often pushes people toward false expansion:
forced positivity,
constant reinvention,
growth detached from capacity,
vision disconnected from embodiment.

But liberation-centered expansion moves differently.

It honors the body.
It honors pacing.
It honors grief and possibility existing together.

This month’s astrology mirrors that process beautifully.

Scorpio says:
Tell yourself the truth.

Sagittarius says:
Now imagine beyond it.

Together, they create a bridge between emotional honesty and expanded vision.

And perhaps that is part of May’s deeper invitation:

Not just to bloom visibly,
but to root honestly enough that your growth can actually hold you.

Our donation-based gatherings (including Somatic Sundays and Astrology of Liberation with Leah) are listed on the Community Calendar.

These spaces are not about optimization.

They are about relationship.

Relationship to yourself.
Relationship to community.
Relationship to the cycles you are moving through.
