Dear Liberators,

There’s a moment each year—right around now—when the sun begins to linger a little longer, the birds return, and the earth starts to stir beneath our feet. It’s quiet at first, almost imperceptible. But then we feel it: the call to “get back to it,” to produce, to perform, to bloom.

And while spring can be a season of growth, capitalism twists this into pressure.

Produce. Perform. Achieve. Show results. Catch up.

The messaging is subtle but relentless: If you’re not blooming, you’re behind.

But here’s the truth we’ve been taught to forget: spring is a process, not a performance. It doesn’t arrive in one day. It unfolds slowly—sometimes clumsily. It is muddy. It is messy. It is a softening before it is a blossoming.

In the wheel of the year, spring is not a single moment—it is a season with its own arc. The earliest days of spring are not about rising at full speed. They are about waking up gently. Stretching. Shedding. Listening for what wants to return.

And for many of us, that emergence still holds grief.

We are coming out of winter—both literally and metaphorically. And if you’ve been doing the work of shadow, of rest, of grieving, of stillness… you might not feel ready to rise and shine just yet. That’s okay.

You are not behind. You are becoming.

So this week’s Liberation Lesson is your invitation to move at the speed of seasonality—not at the speed of supremacy culture. To notice where your body is still in winter, even if the calendar says spring. To ask: What’s thawing? What’s preparing to bloom? What still needs warmth before it rises?

Because alignment, not acceleration, is the path to sustainable growth.

And as we move deeper into the Season of Renewal, we begin to feel the soft whispers of the next chapter calling: Rebirth. But we cannot be reborn unless we are first honest about what we are releasing, what we are still integrating, and how we want to grow.

Critical Reflection:

  • What expectations am I feeling right now to speed up, perform, or “catch up”?

  • What part of me is still in winter—still resting, still integrating?

  • What does it mean to spring forward with intention instead of urgency?

Ready to explore how to align with the wisdom of natural cycles—and protect your energy as you emerge into spring? In this Liberation Lesson, you’ll receive the full LIBERATE Framework™, somatic and seasonal practices, and a reflection ritual to help you shed urgency and bloom with intention.
